November 17, 2023

Description:

On 11/17/2023 NCPD conducted a traffic stop on a White Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Britney Klingensmith for an expired inspection. NCPD Police K-9 Kato was called to the stop, and a K-9 sniff was conducted to detect the odor of illegal narcotics after establishing reasonable suspicion that illegal substances would be located within the vehicle. An alert was given by Kato, subsequently, the vehicle was placed in a secure impound until a search warrant could be obtained. In cooperation with the Cambria County District Attorney's office, a search warrant was secured, which enabled NCPD to confiscate illegal narcotics suspected to be heroin, empty wax paper stamp bags, and several pieces of paraphernalia located within the vehicle.
